Play Works Children’s Therapies is a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic located in Hood River, Oregon, servicing the greater Columbia River Gorge region. Play Works provides Speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding therapy/nutrition services, and ABA for children ages 0-18 years.

We are looking for a hard-working, playful, and dynamic bilingual SLP who has experience working with the pediatric population. Job Description

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations on infants, children, and adolescents. Analyze, interpret, and document evaluation results.
  • Develop patient care plan with short and long-term goals.
  • Maintain all records in compliance with regulations, reimbursement requirements, and job responsibilities.
  • Plan and provide individual and/or group therapy according to individual needs and goals.
  • Perform routine documentation of client performance, adjusting goals and treatment as needed, and determine discharge care plans as appropriate.
  • Provide family education and training to assist in carryover of skills into a client’s daily living environment.
  • Communicate with other professionals such as physicians, psychologists, social workers, behavior therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, with signed release of information.
  • Team with parent and/or other team members in a therapy session, as appropriate.
  • Make appropriate referrals for additional services such as psychiatry, psychology, dentistry, audiology, behavior therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and nutrition.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal policies, Oregon state board for Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & and ASHA.
  • Supervise aides/volunteers, other Speech-Language Pathologists and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants as assigned
  • Participate in in-services and/or parent education training programs, as appropriate.

Required Experience:

  • Education and License to work as an SLP in Oregon
  • Positive Attitude, flexibility, and ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Exhibits good interpersonal relationships and communication skills
  • Available to meet the needs of our school-aged children via after-school appointments

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of pediatric SLP experience
  • Experience working with children with ASD
  • Experience in treating pediatric feeding disorders, or desire to learn a plus!
