Alex earned her masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern Indiana in 2019 where she also earned her bachelors in Psychology. She has a deep appreciation for human development, culture, and diversity which has guided her path towards a career in Occupational Therapy. Over the years she has traveled, volunteered, and worked in numerous settings with a sole purpose of improving the well-being of the individuals she interacts with. To get herself through college, she worked at a non-profit therapy clinic providing aquatic exercise classes to the community and swimming lessons to children with disabilities which solidified her goal of becoming a pediatric occupational therapist. She believes in a holistic, play-based, and client-centered approach to see real progress, and understands the importance of the child-family connection to promote maximal success. Her clinical interests include sensory integration, infant development, and feeding skills.
Alex is originally from Hanover, Indiana but has spent the last two years as a travel therapist moving throughout Washington, Oregon, and California. Her love for the PNW drew her back multiple times, and she’s so excited to be part of the Hood River community. Her main hobbies include hiking, running with her dog, paddle boarding, photography, and travel.
