Alisha received her undergraduate degrees from Western Oregon University in 2018. Here she earned her majors and teaching license in both Early and Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. She continued her education with post-baccalaureate work in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Portland State University earning her Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License. Alisha’s undergraduate clinical teaching work was in teaching first and second graders at Lyle Elementary in Dallas, Oregon. Her teaching experience also includes work in Western Oregon University Child Development Center, ages 2 ½ to 11 years, instructing kindergarten and special education at Monmouth Elementary. Alisha’s undergraduate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant’s (SLPA) clinical fieldwork was at Play Works Children’s Therapies. She also deepened her experiences as a substitute SLPA at Jefferson Elementary, Jefferson Oregon, and provided SLPA support services at Lyle Elementary, Dallas Oregon, and Monmouth Elementary, Monmouth Oregon.
Alisha was born and raised in Hood River, Oregon. Here she is active in the community and can often be found helping at local holiday events. Alisha also enjoys kiteboarding, windsurfing, golfing, snowboarding, and gardening. She is excited to be part of the Play Work’s Team and looks forward to getting to know the children and families.
